A Shaman is a spiritual leader. The belief and practice of Shamanism incorporates a range of beliefs, customs, ceremonies and rituals regarding communication with the spiritual world.
Your Shaman enters the supernatural realms particds to obtain solutions to problems afflicting him, including sickness. The doctrine associated with Shamanism, that incorporates the role of the Shaman, is probably one of the oldest beliefs of man, with its origins dating back to the Stone Age.
Skywalker is Indian for one who walks in the sky. He walks among the stars and the Moon and also the Sun. He appears usually as a golden orb with a slight brownish aura. Skywalker is a shapeshifter and will often appear as himself wearing a bear skin, wolf's head or any number of totem animals. He likes popcorn and will appreciate a tiny bowl left for him on occasion. He also appreciates the sound of drums and the smoky fire from a campground or fireplace. He speaks our language.
Shamanism is not a specific religion but a doctrine based on a belief that physical nature can be brought under the control of man, in the person of a Shaman. The Shaman has a spiritual connection with animals, supernatural creatures and all elements of nature. The Shaman helps keeper to identify personal Animal Totems that are spirit guides who walk through life with them and sometimes appear in dreams or Vision Quests or on a Spiritual Journey in the form of an animal. Shamanism is mixed with other beliefs such as Animism, Totemism, Ritualism.
The belief in spirits and the ability of the Shaman to communicate with spirits is fundamental to Shamanism. The fundamental doctrine is based on the belief that every object in nature is controlled by its own independent spirit, or soul. Spirits inhabit the rivers, lakes, mountains, forests, trees, plants, sky, stars, sun, moon, animals, insects, fish, flowers and birds. Some spirits are good and help those who please them whereas other spirits are bad and liable to wreck havoc and harm on their kepers. It is the bad spirits that cause trouble, suffering, sickness, death and disease. If a Shaman has control over the spirits he is extremely powerful.

Near the the plateau known as "The Mountain Lying Down" a morning when the air is notably still, an Eagle sounds out its shrill call high in the cliffs above Thunder River . Kree kree kree … comes the high-pitched squawk, reverberating off the canyon walls as the bird takes flight toward a nearby honey mesquite tree.
The Indians revere this place as magical, and it’s easy to see why. Thunder River cuts through the canyon floor — a flow that for more than 2,000 years provided the desert’s indigenous people with drinking water and pristine pools in which to bathe and cool off. The plateau was a place where Native children played kickball or shinny (a game with a ball, sticks, and a goal post), where Native women wove baskets or crushed acorns gathered in the fall, and where the Indian men hunted rabbit and, in winter, the mule deer that ventured down from the mountains to keep warm.
It was and, legend has it, still is a place where an evil spirit named Heet hunts for people’s souls and is reported to appear as a green meteor-like ball of fire. He was the first shaman created by Mukat, the Creator. Heet possessed supernatural powers and, in the beginning, used his powers for the good of all the people. But over time, he used his powers for selfish reasons. “He began doing evil things to his people, causing death and destruction, and was banished to the bad place called Embrace the Shadows.
The elder of the tribe, Skywalker tells the story of a beautiful young maiden called Shaula who ventured to the plateau. At a place known as Green Tree Pool, she began to bathe. Heet saw her and wanted her for himself. He took her and kept her in his cave higher up in the canyons. He fed her people’s souls. The young maiden was very unhappy and pleaded with Heet to release her. Heet refused.
The beautiful maiden wept everyday and her tears began to fill Honey Pool. Skywalker began to notice that at the end of day, the pool was higher than the night before. Skywalker gathered his animal totems, the Bear and the Wolf and set off to see where the extra water was coming from.
He finally came to the plateau and saw the beautiful maiden. Heet was there to guard her. A mighty battle began between the two shamans. Darkness came and went for five full moons till finally Heet was banished forever to the land called embracing the shadows,.
The people were amazed to see Shaula alive and well. They began pressuring her to tell them what had happened. Remembering her promise to Skywalker, she refused to say anything.
Skywalker told Shaula to never tell the tribe of her experience. She promised and became Skywalker's only wife. Skywalker taught her his magick and they had many happy Moons together.
The people were amazed to see Shaula alive and well. They began pressuring her to tell them what had happened. Remembering her promise to Skywalker she refused to say anything.
When Shaula went into the other world Skywalker tossed her high up in the night time sky and there she remains to this day. Skywalker still spends every night with her and he still walks among the
stars. Shuala is the bright blue star now called
saiph. It is not visible to our eyes.
